About FangPing Pictures
FangPing Pictures is a media company by Kristin Davis. She specializes in cinematography, writing, and directing, including creative direction. She’s been a PA on several diverse sets such as Magnolia Network’s The Established Home, various General Motors content, 9 Parts of Desire, and Koala Productions. She was gaffer for the short film Unemployees which made its debut on the Criterion Collection, and the DP for various short films.
She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelors in film and video production.
Kristin’s experience outside of the film world changed her perspective on what media could do. She began to film & edit for events, BTS, and podcasts. She soon got into the world of social media where she was able to work with successful influencers and social media personalities, getting a taste of trends and marketing.
Kristin created FangPing Pictures as her own personal media brand. She named it this to pay homage to her Chinese name which is still part of her, just like her dream to create important and innovative pieces of media that spark emotion and inspiration from her audience.
